Extracurricular Activities - Dance, Silambam, Karate, Yoga, Arts & Music

At PERI, every student will spend a significant portion of their school day engaged in yoga or exploring Indian music and arts. Our teaching staff will comprise not only math, science, and language arts teachers but also professional instructors in yoga, music, arts, and dance. Students will strike a balance between academics and immersive experiences in various Indian music, art, and dance forms. Music plays an important role in school education. It helps students express their feelings and brings joy to learning. Music improves concentration and memory. It helps students relax and reduce stress. Music develops creativity and imagination. It builds confidence through singing and performing. Music enhances listening and communication skills, encourages teamwork and cooperation, improves rhythm and coordination. Silambam in PERI School

Silambam is a traditional Indian martial art that originated in Tamil Nadu. Silambam classes help students develop physical fitness, flexibility, and stamina. It improves concentration, discipline, and self-confidence among students. Learning Silambam teaches self-defence skills and quick reflexes. It helps students understand and respect Indian culture and heritage. Regular practice builds coordination, balance, and body control. Silambam encourages mental strength and focus along with physical strength.


Yoga in PERI School
